Mrs. Olayinka Odumakinde is a distinguished Nigerian Entrepreneur and thoroughbred Professional who has contributed immensely to the growth of her country. She is an astute achiever with a robust career history in Administration, Business Management, Human Resources and consulting spanning over 20 years of solid corporate experience.

She is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer StarGate Impressions Limited, a first class Facility Management Company and the Tentol Consulting Limited, a leading Consulting Firm, all situated in Lagos, Nigeria.

Mrs. Odumakinde was educated both within Nigeria and abroad. She is a Higher National Diploma (HND) graduate in Secretarial and Business Management from the Lagos State Polytechnic in 1989. Mrs. Odumakinde then proceeded to the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) in the United Kingdom where she qualified as a Chartered Secretary. This automatically conferred on her, the Associate Membership status of ICSAN in Nigeria. She’s been an active player in this professional body; serving as a member of the Conference and AGM Committee, which is saddled with the planning and execution of all AGM activities of the body.

She continued to expand her educational horizon at the Learning Tree Management Institute, also in the U.K. through series of professional training courses, especially in Strategic and Business Leadership, Public Speaking, and other Business courses.

In 2009, Mrs. Olayinka Odumakinde bagged a Diploma in International Etiquette and Protocol (International Savoir – Vivre) from the Prestigious Institut Villa Pierrefeu in Montreux, Switzerland

Her professional career incubated at Crown Agents International in 1991, as an Administrative Assistant. She leveraged on this experience and joined Pepsicola International, a Nigerian Subsidiary of Pepsico International in Somers, New York as an Executive/Administrative Assistant in 1993. Being a startup company in the beverage sector, Olayinka was part of the pioneer staff and she was entrusted with enormous responsibilities which entailed the Management of the day to day running of the company comprising of 25 members of staff while being actively involved in developing the business models of the company. She also handled the onerous task of planning and executing the travelling arrangements and other logistics for expatriates within and outside Nigeria. This exposure later motivated her desire to set up a vehicle leasing and logistics firm. Olayinka successfully managed these intricate responsibilities with deft Managerial abilities.

With a burning determination to acquire more professional knowledge, Olayinka moved to the European Union (EU) (Delegation of the European Communities in Nigeria) in 1994, where she had an illustrious career. She was the Executive Coordinator to the Delegates and the Various Heads of the Delegation to Nigeria. While carrying out her duties she exhibited a high level of work ethics, dexterity and geniality. These outstanding qualities was recognized and rewarded with an Award for the Best Managerial Support Staff in 1996.

Upon the transfer of the Nigerian Corporate Headquarters of the EU from Lagos to Abuja in 1998, Mrs. Odumakinde was invited to join the Esso Exploration and Production Limited (now merged with Mobil to become ExxonMobil Limited). Olayinka worked as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director in 2000. She played an important role in the acquisition process of Esso and worked tirelessly with the Managing Director to ensure a smooth acquisition exercise. Olayinka continued her role even after the acquisition until 2004 when she decided to resign from paid employment and deploy her managerial skills to becoming a successful entrepreneur.

Today Mrs. Odumakinde is the Founding Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer ofTentol Consulting Limited, a leading Vehicle, Leasing and Logistics Company. It also engages in multifaceted services comprising of contracts in the area of corporate events and short/long term furnishing of accommodations for expatriate workers.

From only two vehicles with Virgin Nigeria Limited in 2006, Mrs. Odumakinde has guided the tremendous growth of the company to over 50 vehicles in 2013, thereby establishing itself as a reputable leasing company.

In 2008 she established StarGate Facility Management Limited, a company with core competencies in facility management, post construction clean up, special events services and general maintenance services. Because of the impact created by StarGate, the company attracted a world class firm; D.G. Bryan LLC based in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.A.; this synergy gave birth to StarGate Impressions Limited. With 20 years of combined experience StarGate Impressions now delivers world class services to various clienteles across board.

A natural entrepreneur, Mr. Bryan is a Cleaning Industry Management Standards professional (ICE), a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), and has a certification in Project Management. He is a member of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), BICSI (a telecommunications organization), the United States Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau. Mr. Bryan is the President and owner of D G Bryan Commercial Cleaning Equipment in Fort Worth, Texas, a renown industrial / commercial equipment distributor, repair facility, consultant, and supplies provider for clients throughout the world, including numerous US government entities. He is also co-owner (with his wife) of The Bryan Endeavor, LLC, which is a parent company of several other business ventures throughout the world.

Mr. Bryan has a wealth of knowledge in multiple methods of using technology to benefit many different types of organizations. Beginning in the electronics and computer field in 1982, he was fascinated with how innovative technology could provide a whole new way of performing complicated and sometimes mundane tasks. After being honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1989 with a specialty in electronics, he was employed full-time in the computer industry as a computer engineer. Due to his entrepreneurial spirit, he opened a part-time electronics repair shop. Just a couple of short years later, he expanded his part-time business to repairing cleaning equipment as well. In 1999, his multi-faceted approach at leading individuals allowed him to open a consulting company which took him around the United States teaching information technology to adult students. He formed D G Bryan Commercial Cleaning Equipment in 2001 with a focus on repairing cleaning equipment, which in turn, grew into a full blown distributorship with multiple manufacturers and niche product offerings. Deep involvement in his community led Mr. Bryan to throw his hat into the ring of politics. In 2003, he was elected to serve on the city council of Rowlett, Texas; he was re-elected in 2005 and was elected by his peers on the council to hold the position of Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem until 2007. Being a global thinker, he partnered with Mrs. Odumakinde in 2013 to form StarGate Impressions, LTD in Nigeria and StarGate Impressions USA, LLC in Fort Worth, TX.

He has been actively involved in numerous local Chambers of Commerce and volunteer organizations over the years. Mr. Bryan is a professional voice-over talent, budding actor, instructor, and an extremely blessed husband and father – he’s even been a contestant on the game show “Wheel of Fortune”. A devout Christian and affectionate family man, he takes pleasure in being in the outdoors, cooking, hunting, entertaining friends, and experiencing different cultures. One of the missions of his company, The Bryan Endeavor, is to provide knowledge, courage, inspiration, and leadership to his team; and by doing so, loyalty, professionalism, and teamwork thrives. He has a passion for providing assistance to those that are struggling with life’s daily challenges through counseling, encouraging, and training —- “teach a man to fish”.

Mel Laporte is our Filipino-Chinese expatriate Professional and the General and Business Development Manager of Stargate Impressions Ltd. Mel brings into the company her wealth of experiences and expertise in the areas of Performance Management, Customer Relations, HR, Business Development, Sales and Marketing, and Public Relations.

She attended the Far Eastern University, Manila in the Philippines where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Bold, assertive and with a burning desire to explore her latent qualities, Mel ventured out of her comfort zone and worked extensively in various capacities in different countries. She began her career at Al Niyadat Gift House in Al Ain, UAE as a Sales Representative from 1989 – 1991.

She then moved to Goldenline Cargo LLC in Abu Dhabi, UAE where she worked as a Sales & Assistant Manager from February 1991 – December 1995. Mel’s ability to perform different job functions manifested when she became the Public Relations Officer of Pan Emirates Engineering Co in Dubai, UAE. She served in that capacity from 1996 – 1999. Her career next stop was at California Flower Shop, managing and promoting online services as early as year of 2000 to August 2005. She ended her career in UAE in 2005 where she joined her siblings in China thereafter.

Her dedication to duty saw her rise through the ranks and by 2006, she was the Export and Quality Control Manager at Merit Int’l Development Ltd in Shunde Foshan, China.

With these impressive skills, competencies and vast managerial know-how, the management of Stargate Facility Management Ltd invited Mel L. Laporte to be their OPERATIONS MANAGER in 2012. Since then, she has diligently continued to represent the company with the highest level of best global practices in business operations and become the General Manager the following year.
